Since ancient times, olive oil has been used to protect, rejuvenate and nourish skin and hair. Make hair healthier by applying warm olive oil generously into the scalp and hair ends. Leave for around 20 minutes, then shampoo and rinse well. Olive oil is rich in natural fatty acids, minerals and vitamins to regenerate skin cells.

It is a powerful product to prevent skin aging including fine lines and wrinkles. Softness and skin elasticity is maintained as it hydrates skin and prolongs youth. An oil bath can be prepared by mixing extra virgin oil into the bath tub water. Soak your body in it and it will amazingly work to make the skin very smooth and soft like baby skin. Before getting into the bathtub, a good body massage with warm extra virgin olive oil. After the bath, pat the skin dry and wipe away extra oil. It works great as a makeup remover. Simply apply it all over the face with a damp cotton pad and wipe away the makeup. Wash off the face with warm water and then cold water to close open pores and stimulate the skin.

An excellent treatment to strengthen nails and get healthy, shiny and strong nails is to soak nails in warm olive oil. Before retiring to bed, dab some olive oil under the eyes, to smoothen fine lines and nourish skin around the eyes.  Make a face mask with a teaspoon of lemon juice, a tablespoon of olive oil and one egg yolk. Keep for 10 minutes and wash off with first warm and then cold water. It adds that wonderful glow, softens skin and is great to use on dry and normal skin types.
